ROOTED IN CHICAGO, READY TO SERVE

With over a decade of experience in the non-profit sector, we have learned about the unique identities of Chicago’s neighborhood areas, the challenges facing them, the groups taking prophetic action for positive change, and the funders investing in these efforts. While this is the area we know best, we welcome clients from outside the Chicago area if missions align.

SOCIAL SERVICES & SYSTEMIC CHANGE

Most of our clients have direct service or justice-forward missions, from community centers to community organizing and everything in between. We have written and received grants for youth services, mental health, leadership development, historical preservation, international development, food insecurity, STEM enrichment, and much more! We work exclusively on private (corporate & foundations) or local government (ex. school district, county health department, etc.) grants; complex federal grants are outside our wheelhouse, but we’re happy to refer you to some very skilled colleagues!

FAITH, CULTURE, JUSTICE

With a background in ministry, advanced degree in social justice, and 10+ years working in faith-based nonprofits, our Founder has a unique skillset that is rare in this space. Put simply: we can do more than just write! For many grant-funded ministry projects, we actively engage in strategic planning, program design, and post-award project management—deftly navigating the balance between pastoral priorities and grant compliance.

Grant Research

We’ll create a customized funding strategy (or, roadmap) for the next 12-18 months, highlighting a dozen or more grant opportunities with a strong mission alignment and a high likelihood of success.

Funding strategies start at $4,000.

Grant Writing

We can execute the funding strategy we prepared for you or write for opportunities that you’ve identified.

Grant writing services are charged as a flat project fee based on the length, complexity, and timeline of the proposal(s).

  • You don’t have boilerplate grant language already written

  • You don’t have time to customize every proposal according to the funder’s priorities and specifications

  • You struggle to prepare a new budget for every grant

  • You’re busy running an organization and don’t have time to focus on writing and gathering attachments

Grant Management

We'll oversee your full grant pipeline from prospecting to reporting so you never miss a deadline or run out of funding. Increase dollars for programming and peace of mind for organizational leaders!

Grant management is generally charged as a monthly retainer starting at $5,000 for 3-4 deliverables per month.

Ideal if…

  • Your grant portfolio is growing 

  • You don’t have a system to track applications, decisions, reports, deadlines, and other deliverables

  • You’re afraid of missing important deadlines or letting grant tasks fall through the cracks

  • You need help preparing reports in addition to writing proposals

  • Your Executive Director is currently writing all the grants and needs to focus energy elsewhere
